MicroLatch: Building Latch in the Palm of Your Hand Álvaro Núñez-Romero November 29th

MicroLatch is a way to put Latch in the physical world. This is a chip with Wi-Fi that’s quite common in current IoT devices and follows the “Do It Yourself” philosophy, with which it’s possible to apply Latch to the real world in a simple way, with this tiny microcontroller. It’s an ESP8266-01 microcontroller with features that have resulted in a lot of talk about it and specific firmware has been developed, NODEMCU, for programming this chip with the Lua language. This way, it’s quite simple to create a project with Internet connectivity and with few lines of code. For MicroLatch, Latch may be applied to any DIY project to increase the security of our hardware and software developments.
