MicroLatch: Building Latch in the Palm of Your Hand by Álvaro Núñez-Romero
November 29, 2017. We are doers and we like DIY ("do it for yourself") philosophy, mucho more better If we can also do cool things like applying Latch to the physical world through a small microcontroller. Do you want to know how we have done it? Don´t miss this webinar by the hand of our expert Álvaro Núñez-Romero. Let's hack!
#CodeTalks4Devs: MicroLatch. Building Latch in the Palm of Your Hand
MicroLatch is a way to put Latch in the physical world. This is a chip with Wi-Fi that’s quite common in current IoT devices and follows the “Do It Yourself” philosophy, with which it’s possible to apply Latch to the real world in a simple way, with this tiny microcontroller. It’s an ESP8266-01 microcontroller with features that have resulted in a lot of talk about it and specific firmware has been developed, NODEMCU, for programming this chip with the Lua language. This way, it’s quite simple to create a project with Internet connectivity and with few lines of code. For MicroLatch, Latch may be applied to any DIY project to increase the security of our hardware and software developments.
