#11Paths: mASAPP: Continual discovery and analysis of mobile apps
Nowadays, nobody doubts the importance of mobile applications within an organization’s channel strategy. Smartphones have become another appendage to our bodies, we wake up and go to sleep with them, and organizations have one thing very clear: their brand, in the form of an app, must be positioned within this new biotechnological extension. The benefits are endless and even obvious, but has anybody thought about the possible downsides?
Long forgotten discontinued applications (but still available) on the market, leaks of sensitive information relating to the company’s infrastructure, or critical vulnerabilities that leave our devices (and personal data), at the mercy of any malicious user. These are just a few examples of the risks this new trend represent for our own privacy and security.
To combat this new threat, ElevenPaths has developed mASAPP, our new in-house platform aimed at helping those organizations using mobile phone channels in their day-to-day operations as a method for connecting more efficiently with their customers and employees. mASAPP permits the discovery, in a continuous and autonomous manner, of the whole set of mobile apps belonging to an entity, and also persistently identifies new threats and other security risks these may have.
